Pics of....ourselves?

35 means he shot 35 out of 40 targets. 20 shot in the supported position which we did in a foxhole. then 20 shot in the unsupported prone position. The targets range form 25-300 meters. 35 is a good score and I believe it allows the soldier to wear the sharpshooter badge.

Nice pic. what's a 35? It sounds pretty good but ain't got a clue.

qualifying with an M16, you shoot 20rnds prone supported, 10rnds prone unsupported, and 10 rnds kneeling. 36/40 hits is considered expert (highest you can get) i shot 35, thats marksman:mad:
still cant get to 36!!!

Marksman:thumbup:, not too shabby?;)

Thanks, I hear those terms from time to time and now I have a clue! That's interesting, that magic number of 36. What's the hardest aspect to getting that extra shot? The position or the fatigue (physical/mental), the order of the rounds? Do you get to try again?

That Kid in the picture is obviously a man who is brave and honorable enough to put his life on the line for our country. :cool:To answer your question; They give men/women a rifle when you join the armed services. It is just part of the deal. If you are lucky, they teach you some other skills too. Where have you been?:confused::confused:
