I'll be posting pictures I shot of the new ZT's while at Blade in this thread.

They were shot with available light in the Kershaw booth so I had to use a pretty high ISO and had to compromise a bit on aperture for depth of field.
I was a bit pressed for time, since I had to catch a plane, and there aren't as many pics as I would have liked. (sounds like a lot of excuses)
I'll keep adding as I have time to edit the pics.

First is the 0777 - Overall Knife of the Year for 2011

Here are some questions I've been asked, I'll try to answer them as best I can. I have to say, the new knives are so amazing that I didn't consciously compare them to anything else. I was just mesmerized by them.

What current model ZT does the 0770 come closest to in size? Did you get to hold it very long......what's it feel
like in hand?

Its pretty much the same size (.05" longer) and similar in shape to the 0200. I did spend a pretty long time handling and flipping it. It feels great. It has a different feel though since the handles are almost completely carbon fiber, just that little bit of Ti in the lock bar. The Ti and CF just feel warmer. I thought it was incredibly comfortable in the hand. Even though the CF is smooth, the relief on it is enough that I don't think grip will be an issue, plus the subframe has the milled texture. The handles feel very rigid.

At 4.8 oz. does it feel like a typical ZT? The weight of the 0770 is so much lighter than everything else in the lineup except
for the 0350.

The 0777 feels incredibly light. It definitely does not feel like any other ZT's weight wise. The 350 feels heavy in comparison since it is so much smaller.

I like big knives. Would you say this is med. large or big?

Regarding size, it depends on what you think is big. As I mentioned it is a tiny bit bigger than the 0200, and most feel it is a large, knife. The weight makes it seem a bit less like a large knife. Of course the Tilt is even bigger. I carry an 0650 and a Vic XLT daily, so really, the only ZTs that are big to me are the 0170 and the ZT-9.

What about the 0560/61..was there a lot of noticeable size difference between it and the 0551...handle length, blade length,
thickness of the handle, the knife overall
.

The 551 definitely chunkier feeling because of the flat slabs. The 3D machined handles on the new knife make it feel much slimmer. The 560/561 blade is only 1/4" longer, but it seems like more because of flipper. Your index finger sits further back. I want to say that I felt that the 560 was very slim for what is very clearly a serious knife. Seemed much slimmer than an 0200.

Does the 0770 seem classy/dressy compared to other ZTs.....in a class by itself?

The 0777 definitely looks classy/dressy, and it really is in a class by itself. It still manages to look like it means business.

This is definitley a knife I need to pick up. Still hurts that I wasnt able to get a Volt.

Fantastic pics Kneedeep as usual  The detail in your pics helps me

understand how the knife works.

Hi Kneedeep -

Thanks - I was looking for pictures of that one - I'll be in line for one of those when they are available.

Thanks again for the pictures - I'll watch for more from you.

best regards -

Nice pics, can't wait till this one comes out. Does anyone know if Kershaw/ZT released any info at BLADE about new USA products that weren't talked about on the forums yet? If yes... SPILL THE BEANS!!! :p

i really didnt like the 0777 at first but, after seeing these pics i have changed my mind.

i want one!!

Added a few more 0777 pics.

Those screws hold the lock bar thingy.:)
Exactly, they hold the subframe lock bar in place.

I saw and got to handle a piece that I haven't seen discussed anywhere. Really awesome, just one more thing I can't wait to get. But since it hasn't been discussed I don't think I can disclose any info.

I'm glad the pics changed your mind. The weren't necessary though, if you got one in your hands, you wouldn't be able to let it go. The guys in the booth had to keep peeling them out of peoples hands.

Sounds great--the 0777 is only 4 oz. though :D

Fantastic pics! The Q&A you added in post #3 is really helpful, too.
