Pics of the new ZTs at Blade 2011

I'm almost afraid to think about next year. Kai USA will need to show pocket light sabers to top this years knives.

600$ MSRP, which translates to 480$ MAP as mentioned in some dealer threads. Definitely worth it and I'm looking forward to getting one upon release.

Regardless, if the same or a similar knife were made by Benchmade, you'd see it marketed as a "Gold Class" with a 4 digit price.

I really appreciate this comment. As a representative of Kershaw/ZT, I don't necessarily want to point at other brands, but I think it's important to keep things in perspective. If you look at other products on the market with similar materials (stainless damascus, carbon fiber, 3D machining), you gain a little more perspective on why this knife costs what it does. These kind of materials are expensive to procure and to process. I sincerely feel that the MSRP of these knives are appropriate for the level of materials and the effort it takes to produce them.

At the same time, I can empathize with every person that has a hard time paying that much for a knife - I've been there myself. I remember when I had a hard time paying even $100 for a knife. However, even before I worked for Kershaw, I felt like this company provided a huge amount of bang for your buck. We've produced a lot of great knives like the ZT0300, the Speedform, the Volt, the Tilt, Zt 0550 and now the ZT 0560, at price points in the realm of $300 MSRP. People have generally felt that these products were a great value for the price, and I think the 0777 will be no different. It may cost more, but you are getting something extra for that added cost.

Totally agree with jimmer_5. Lots of value on the ZT blades as i see it. The material used in the blades are often better then custom knives that cost double.
