I have this Parker Cutlery Company Bowie knife heading my way to become a new acquisition for my collection. It's actually a duplicate of one of my other Parker Bowie knives... But, this one is a box set version that includes the knife, sheath, display case, certificate/product info, and whatever packaging/boxes that was part of the deal during the early 1980's.
It's not unusual for me to purchase duplicates of knives I have in my collection.

I have my fingers crossed that it will be as excellent/mint as my other Parker specimens :)

The duplicate to my other Buffalo Horn handle Parker Bowie knife that I had ordered and was waiting for, arrived today.
I'm really stoked about it, it being just as nice and minty as my other one!
I just love it when an online purchase goes as well as this one did. The seller's description was spot on accurate... Actually, the purchase surpassed my expectations! :)

As I mentioned before, I'm a big fan of these Parker Bowie Knives! :)

I believe that Parker held the Marbles brand for a bit. It seems he carried some of those designs onto his Parker Cut. Co. line. No doubt that your knife has Marbles influence :)

Also, seeing and reading the info on the box your knife came in, it made me wonder if that wording had anything to do with the Parker Cutlery Company's 'Eagle Brand' founding.
So, I looked up that date for Eagle, the following being what I found...

"The Founding Fathers chose the bald eagle to be the national bird of the United States in 1782. It is one of the best known symbols of our Government. The eagle can be seen on the Great Seal of the United States, on the Presidential Seal, in the logos of Federal agencies, on coins and paper money, and on postage stamps."

So, I wonder if Parker launched the 'Eagle Brand' in 1982? And if he did, was it in honor of the 200th anniversary of the Bald Eagle becoming one of our National symbols?

Well, anyhow, thanks for sharing :)

I love my Parker though this is the only one I have...I think they are underrated...they can definitely refine the process slightly on finishing the blades (easing the sharp spine edges a bit for example), but I suppose that would add to their costs.

Nice looking barlow 👍😊👍

Knife World had an article about Parker prototypes. Some were basically factory made customs. There are some that collect them.

I had asked myself the following question...

"I wonder if Parker launched the 'Eagle Brand' in 1982?"

Well, although I don't know when Parker came out with his Eagle Brand line, I have since stumbled upon some Eagle branded Parker knives online that predate 1982, so I guess that answers my question 🤓

According to the shield on my knife, it was 1968, but I don't know how reliable that is.
