Antdog, You can tell your wife, Busse's are made for
all kinds of uses. My Quad is used as a doorstop!!!;)

If I had a Busse like that, it would be strictly a wall hanger. I just couldn't bear to put a knife that purty to hard, brutal use. You better hang on to that sucker!! With both hands!!!

Those didn't make in the poster ;)

Busse nut yes, picture posting literate, not even close.

Just got a camera, have yet to take some pics, but I have no clue where to start.

Any place I can turn for some advice??

Mike

Eric, If the gun is out of place, I'll delete this.

Hey Chip,
The only reason it is out of place is because you make me envious everytime you show that Quad Grind. ;)

I love it, this whole thread is so we can show off anyway. ;):D:D and what better way than to show those two. Very Nice. :)

Here's a pic of my Busse Natural Outlaw, along with accessories, that I took for the Razor's Redoubt Photo-Essay Contest.

Oh, and here's one more pic of my Busse Mr. Mojo LE #888 (with the OEM kydex sheath) that I got for Christmas!

Here's a close-up pic of the blade of my "Hard Love" Steel Heart E:

Please note, the damage to the coating is mostly superficial. The coating is only worn off on a small portion of the blade; the rest of the coating has only been smoothed. That's one of the cool things about this coating, it doesn't scratch, it just smoothes to a rather attractive finish. Also, the only reason the coating is worn at all on any region but quite near the edge is because I like to use my SHE to split oak and hickory firewood (large pieces, up to about seven inches in diamter). This type of work easily and quickly smoothes the coating due to the hardness and abrasiveness of the seasoned hardwood.

This is before I cleaned it up today. The interesting thing is, even after I cleaned it up, there are still a few small fragments of oak/hickory securely stuck/wedged into the coating. I could remove them with some steel wool or another knife, but I don't think they look too bad :D . After all, this is a Busse.

Guncollector,
Sweet Pics ;):D I'm glad someone put one of Mr. MOJO up.

Andrew,
I'm glad someone else takes pictures of their users. I have a BA-E that shows some serious signs of wear also. ;) I might post it tomorrow.

Here is a pic of my BA-E that is my most used Busse. I love beating the crap out of this thing and it shows;) at least the crinkle coating shows it. I have to point out that I took a Scotch-Brite pad to this one and removed the front section of coating. While doing some work around some rocks I scratched/chipped the coating then just ended up removing the front section. If you notice about mid-blade the coating has started to smooth out were it has received some heavy use. This crinkle/wrinkle coating wears very well and as Andrew said smooths out and then starts to wear off. It takes a lot of abuse to wear all the way through the coating. And takes even more if you try to remove it ;):D

Although the knife may not look pretty it is well loved ;)

Lets see some other users, I know they're out there. ;):D
