This is an old Khyber knife. 22.5" blade, 27.5" overall. It's a little different, as it has a yataghan type curve. I've been told that most have a straighter spine. Again, the handle is small, just right for me.

Nice horn handle with bone dots inlaid. Original sheath that really soaked up the Lexol.

Closer view of handle. Nice finely finished cho. Eye symbol. This light khukuri comes alive in your hand and just begs to cut something. Not wood either.

I guess this next one is a villager. The termites got to the sheath and almost ate it up. The blade is good and hard, and sharp as a razor. The small Nepali handle fits me perfectly. Another worker.

A really sweet older khuk. Bone handle (repaired) with a horn spacer next to the brass buttcap. New sheath by Terry Sisco.

Almost blonde bone handled khukuri with a "jeweled" scabbard. Jewels are pieces of turquoise and glass beads.

A horn handled khukuri with a horn scabbard. The scabbard has shrunk to where it separates when the blade is inserted. I soaked the whole sheath in hooflex in a plastic bag for a month, but it's still too small.

Last one for now. I promise. This is a 20.5" hard working khuk that has a little age on it. Original sheath, and iron chakma.

Hope you enjoyed my little show and tell.:)

Some beautiful works of art.

That horn handle with the inlaid bone dots certainly spoke to me.

Thanks for the show!

Steve, wonderful stuff. Really liked the one with the bone dot inlays. Can you tell me a little more about Lexol?
