picture of a rookie's craftsman work

My second set is about 2/3 way down, its the cocobolo and ivory holder with the two mauls directly to the right of it. Its not actual ivory obviously but those ivory nuts (forgot there real name). Ive also got one of his drill bit burnishers that works very well too. Not necessary but speeds up the process. I like the holster maker one becuase of the extra thickness you can do.

Whoa .. that's some impressive work! Maybe .. give the wife an idea for a good present for me. She says it's so hard to shop for me. lol

Bonafide what stamp did you use on the 4" hunter sheath that you are giving away? I really like that random rough look. Is it just a round stamp, tooled in randomly?

I think it's called a 'pear shader' .. smooth, not textured. Comes in one of their basic craft tool sets.

Yup, looks like an egg cut lengthwise, its a very versatile tool, I use it mostly for floral designs. Makes a nice soft indent.

Another month and some more hours spent learning/making sheaths .. and I've started selling some of my work.

My latest .. it can be carried vertical or horizontal.

Nice

Do you have any photos of the back ?
Does the tooling carry on around the back ?

Hey Ken .. no tooling on the back of those stacked style sheaths. I leave them plain with my maker's mark.

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

JW .. I really am a rookie sheath maker, but I'm a fast learner. :)
