Unlike the other one I posted, this one is pretty definitely Filipino. Based on a very similar picture in "Levine's Guide to Knives and their Values (4th edn.)," p. 480, figure G11, I've identified this as a "Sanduko Bolo." Levine describes it as "A rare weapon used by the Mondo tribe of Panay Island."

One thing I find interesting is that the blade is chisel-edged (ie. beveled on only one side), which is different from other Filipino & Moro weapons I've seen, but is characteristic of the "Mandau" or "Parang Ihlang" used by the Sea Dayaks of Borneo.

If anybody knows more about this kind of bolo and the people who used it (and how it is used correctly!), I'd love to hear about it.
