Bruce Bump and me (Bruce Evans) took everybody's advice about a year ago and started this colaberation Knife..It was finished in time for Bruce B. to take it with him to the Eugene,Oregon show.It SOLD!! yea plus Bruce took a order for another one as close to this one as we can get.
Bruce B forged the 9 inch Mosaic Blade and did all the final; assembly and polishing.
Bruce E. Did the handle and the sheath,Then we sent it out for engraving,Bruce B. will have to give the mans name that did the engraving..
Well does everybody approve, did we do good?
We liked it...
Bruce

Hey hey Bruces, nice job.

Oh man...Oh man...Oh Man.....uuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh

That makes me want to quit!

Beautiful.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, you guys are gonna make me jump around and get in trouble! That's beautiful, so over the top I can't quit calling people in here to look at it. Zowie, let's see more!

Bruce E, when are you going to do your tutorial on the handle?

Dave

Very Very Nice! I like the way everything works together. Collaboration at its best. That would go well in anyone's collection.

Thanks for the kind words. This is my first collaboration and first Price style dagger. Bruce E did all the hard stuff. He really outdid himself on the sheath and framed handle although he left all the really hard hand sanding to me. We both learned from this one and the next will both be easier and better. My friend Thomas R Moro did the engraving. Good isnt it? He lives here in town and will also be doing the Pass Around knife. Bruce E has it done and will send it to me next week for final finish and engraving. Thomas Moro specializes on early colt single action pistols but always works me in for my small jobs. He engraves the old way with hammer and chasers (no power tools). He has a glass eye, Really he is blind in one eye. At one time he was legally blind in both eyes but his sight finally came back in one eye. He has 35 years of experience and is one of the most interesting individuals I have ever met. What a treasure he is.

I agree with Bruce that this was a real learning experience.I had never attempted to do this handle before this knife.Let me tell you guys,IT is not a easy handle to make.I didn't intentionally leave Bruce the hard hand sanding before the final polish. But after doing this like I have all my others It was put together before all the hand sanding and buffing had been done,That is a big mistake when trying this one.You have to sand and polish every piece before you put any parts together. But Bruce pulled it out of the bag for us and got the sanding and polishing done and made it look super..
Oh yea, this was the knife that was used in my Nickel Silver sheath tutorial...
Thanks everybody that sugested we do this together. And Thanks to Bruce Bump for all the work he did and putting up with me on this project....
Bruce

That is an absolutely beautiful knife. Congrats on it selling and getting the order for another one. Not that that surprises me at all after seeing this beauty.

Congrats guys!

That knife and sheath belong in a public display somewhere, not locked up behind closed doors in a private collection.
