Picture Thread - Single blade traditionals

I much prefer single blades.
Some favorites

Multiblades... too many choices... slows me down :D

I like the Higonokamis very much. Here's my Buck 302 and Klaas Brown Mule.

praise the opinel..and that meat it slices so well..mmm

Which leads to a funny story for my birthday someone gave me a very nice olive wood #6, I set it aside and continued to unwrap presents. Mrs. fancy paws decided to act like the #6 is the best thing ever drooling and rubbing against it. Apparently some cats have the same reaction to olive wood as catnip. If you look close you can see the slober..

Forgive the two bladed eureka

I've been paying more attention to my single bladed knives over my Jacks lately... My Jack knives are feeling neglected.

I forgot about my opinel (had to include the No.7)...

I'm hoping to pickup either a #55 Hounds Tooth Wharnie or a #72 when they come out! Single bladed knives make great front pocket companions.

All good stuff right there!

This rascal showed up on my doorsteps today, GEC #55 Hounds Tooth with burnt stag, lovin' it. Arrived moderately sharp but not dangerously so, but now, she be dangerous ;)

the stag is pretty well matched and nice and grippy too

And I'm usually pretty impressed with the fit and finish on GEC knives, especially so with how well they put the shields on the scales, this one is no exception, very well done indeed, here's a close up, pardon the images, just some quickly taken ones for now at least,

Being a single bladed knife, you can grip the nicely contoured handle and it fits well in the hand, no other blades to interfere with the flow of the frame of the knife, very nice!

Nice example of that model, Gary. The stag is very nice. I'm hoping to give the #55 wharnie a try someday too if/when other handle materials become available for the Tidioute version (I prefer the satin finished blades to the high polish Northfields).

I have a few. Forgive my mad photo skills :)

The Lumber Jack feels almost cartoonish, but it is one substantial knife.

The 125OT has been all around the World with me as a Grunt in the USMC. It's patina is most definitely earned.

The Schrade was one of my Papaw's knives. At some point in time, he fixed the pivot pin with a nail. One of these days I'll get around to fixing it proper.

My Opinels--10, 9, 8, and a 6. I'll finish out the set one day.
The Svords are great, and the orange makes them stand out quite nicely in the grass.

Beautiful stag on that Menefee.
Don't think I've ever seen a yellow handled Buck before B)

Lots of great pieces in this thread... I'm liking it :)

Toothpick... gotta love a (Coates) toothpick

And Coke Bottles

Not sure what to get next now!
