Picture Thread- Your Latest Buck Acquisition

Old hunter, i kinda wanted that fishermen. Didn't know they existed, always the good deals in between the paychecks

Gold Member Scott Hartman has one just as nice for sell right now and also at a good price on the Buck Classifieds here at Blade - jump on it! Hope you can get it. OH

This is a knife that ITE inspired me to buy. Two weeks ago he led off with a 124. Then a lot of people posted their 124's. That inspired me to pull the trigger on this one.

And you inspired me to get one also. Arrived today. Quite the deal for $99.00.
They are already showing up at auction for jacked up prices.

This 112 was the last nearly a year ago but I should have my new 500 in less the 10 working days now. I need to be carrying the 112 as I am today and 501 since I think the 500 will dethrone them from my favorites!

got myself a fresh 345. I love it! Its way smoother than my 340, I just have to hold it down and flick the flipper and gravity does it all. No need to flick the wrist like with my 340, but its just a tab big big for my liking to be a EDC. Ill post up my vantage collection for the SPS when I get some photo ideas going this weekend

I remember sitting at the main gate at the base I use to work at and my best buddy Greg, a huge Buck collector reached into his A-bag and pulled out a Buck knife, this was in 2008 or 09. It had rose wood handles and looked to be about the size of a 112. I had recently gotten away from Bucks but I said wow I have never seen nor handled one of these. Yeah it's a 500 and they don't make them any more. I said that's to bad because I would be interested in one. After that I forgot about it a bit and then in 2012 I got a 501 as a Christmas present and Buck solidly had me back. I remember thinking after getting it man this knife is a 1/4 the price of my most expensive locking knives and slip joints but it has the highest F&F I have seen on a production folder! Well as you know they slowly released a limited amount of these and I missed out. Well now with more showing up on the shelves I finally have my Buck 500 and it was well worth the wait! There is no thumbing this one open like I do with my 112s and 501 due to the nail pull being above the concave of the hollow grind. On the other mentioned knives I start the blade open with the nail pull and the let my thumb run alone partially the concave portion and it opens right up for me, though once in a while it takes one reposition. This 500 like the 110 has to be dropped open or on my leg or hip like I open my France made gravity knives. This 500 has at least as good F&F as my 501, but the stiffest lock of all the lock back Bucks I have ever owned including my old 110. My buddy Greg got gifted that 110. The first half a dozen or so closings I did after lubing the pivot was a two handed affair but now it's no problem to one hand close on my leg or side. This 500 is a real tank! I've noticed the 500 series at least my two came with perfect symmetrical edges. I can not say the same for my 112s as only one of them had symmetrical edges. The sheath is much like the 112 sheath, Mexico made except stamped 500 on the back which not the best but It'll do, sized for the slimmer 500. If you have a desire for a 112 size drop point made in the USA as well as can be factory made this is your knife! My Photobucket isn't working right so I'll have to post and then see if I can work the images in...
