I dont know much about your knives but I'm really happy to own this one. Perfect size and shape. Beautiful bloodwood scales and a full flat grind... Awesome. Looking forward to putting some miles on it.

Jks are just good knives, they feel right, are handy and good looking too. John is also a nice guy, don’t want to swell his head, but he is and knows a thing or two about 01 steel.

Any chance this was made by JK?

I have only one JK knife, the Canadian Belt Knife. When I shot this buck last month I did all the field dressing, skinning, AND the butchering with it and a small Swedish hatchet (because I forgot to bring my boning knife, an old and very flexible carbon steel filleting knife.) I missed having some jimping on the spine, so when I got home, I added some. I figure this knife is a keeper and a working knife, so I don't mind adding a personal touch. I took measurements off a Grohman-made Russell Belt Knife (which seems to be the prototype for the Kiedaisch), one-inch long, 8 notches. It wasn't hard to do and didn't take long. I used a Dremel. The jimping is not perfect, but definitely good enough and it works great.

A very nice looking knife, and it's cool to see it is getting some action (more than any of mine these days)! That is clean work on the jimping, what Dremel attachment did you use?

That looks good!
