Unfortunately I can't carry either on my person in Los Angeles, but they'd make a great pair for personal defense:

Some photos of the sheepsfoot friction folder (aka The Handyman) that John made for me last week. It is 5.75" OAL, blade is 2.25", micarta handles. The flipside of the blade has a small flathead screwdriver/prybar. I am very happy with the size and it is much lighter than I expected, which I wanted in an EDC. Thanks John! I'll post some more pics of the yellow belt hawk soon.

size compared to Gerber Air Ranger, my old EDC

Thanks, those 2 will be a good pair for me, and my 4 year old already said dibs on the hawk when he's older :)

My favorite in 40+ pages of photos. Can I have one too?

Rule #9. "Always carry this knife".:D
I designed it for one of John's Anniversary contests. It's still my favorite knife.

Mr Mqqn has one in snakewood and there are a couple of others around. Mine will be buried with me.

I needed a hatchet to carry on my canoe trips and I found this Iltis at the local flea market for 3 bucks. It goes rather nicely with my Cutlass.
