I've looked everywhere for Neil Charity's interframe tutorial that was posted on knifenetwork.com but the only thing I can find is an archive and the pictures are gone. Did anyone by chance have pictures of a jig they made from that tutorial or have pictures from the original post?
Thanks,
Mike

Ok, I found it mirrored on some site in Russian or something. I'll make a new write up and post it when I get a chance. If anyone has any experience and tips or warnings on the technique you can leave them here and I'll include them when I duplicate the old post. It seems like it's a pretty slick system.

Did you ever figure this out? I have been directed to Neil's tutorial as well bt can't find the pictures.
Thanks
Steve

I'm looking forward to seeing this. Neil Charity was kind enough to help me out when I was much younger and interested in making knives, he and I met once a week for nearly a year to discuss knifemaking. Unfortunately I eventually lost interest as my manual skills just couldn't keep up with what I wanted to achieve (I was only 15 or so if I remember correctly, so my ambition was not at all tempered with experience!). I did make 2 knives under his tutelage though, and the skills that I acquired during that process definitely shaped the things I worked on afterwards.

Neil is no longer with us unfortunately, but I often remember his kindness. It would be great to have one of his tutorials revived!

I have the whole thread printed out. I was equally impressed with his work and wanting to help us all. Yes, I would like to help others , and if passing this along will help I will do that. I cannot however do this electronically. Sorry. What I can do is mail the whole works off to Mike, Steve, or Aaron if they will pass it along in whatever manner. Please contact me direct at niro@telus.net if one of you believe this will work for you. Frank

I have the files on my other computer in html so they show up like they did in the forum. I also have his tutorial on lockbacks. Let me know and I can grab them and possibly email them to you. Not sure how big they are.

I thought I Found it on another forum, but after downloading their player there was nothing there, It was in a post from 2001 so I guess they had taken it down.

I just copied it and put it into a word doc and then created a pdf file from it. It's only 558K. -- Paul
