Pictures not viewable

Guys,

sorry for a possible insipid question BUT i am new to this: on many threads you guys are commenting on posted pictures and often i cant see anything. then again on other threads i see everything. any ideas on whats happening so i dont miss out

Could be a couple of things. Usually this is because a thread is old and the pictures that they're referring to has been taken down off the web. In other cases, they link to a picture that is on a server that is not available to you. I won't go into the many reasons why that can happen, just rest assured that it can and there isn't much you can do about it.
 
Usually someone has taken the photo off the hosting site like photobucket or imageshack. YOu could try clearing your cookies or try firefox or similar. But if its still not there its gone.
