I think that's a rather handsome piece of wood. The symmetry, the clean lines... and that knot is to die for. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it at least an 8 - maybe a nine just because of the faint planer burn on the top. And that light sliver peeking out on the lower left... not all wood has that feature. Never underestimate your block of wood. And let's face it, that drywall mud compliments the form of the knife handle so well that it draws the eye away from the main subject so well anyway.Here is another one of my knives in wood.
Not a very impressive piece of wood I will admit But is what I have to work with. Not everyone has a huge wood to show off.
