I'm leaving the area on Monday, and they pickup all my stuff soon, so I thought I'd get out and poke around.

I took along my GB SFA, Tom Krein Bushcraft, and a Luke McFadden "Bushalong"

I spent most of the time following some tracks around:

Unfortunately, a lot of time was spent looking at trash:

Spent some time trying to perfect making fuzz sticks, man, I love doing this!

Can anyone name this 'shroom?

What could live in here?

Here is what I took with me, I usually don't take the GB SFA, but she was lonely. I have a pac-ax that I sometimes take, but I'd really like to get a Silky Saw. (I take donations!)

Great pics, I love that little Tom Krein Bushcraft it looks to be just about perfect for a small edc. Man have I got to practice my fuzz sticks after seeing yours !!!

I agree with you on the trash,ruins everything from animals,nature itself,landscape,water ways....let's say your hiking find the perfect spot to take a few pictures of the scenary and or family and in the back drop is some jerks trash,to lazy to pack out what he packed in....:grumpy:

The trash is really pretty unbelievable. The area is basically a late night party and drug spot. I've caught several people burning the casing off of copper wiring stolen from houses or chicken plants most likely.

Here is a picture I found two weeks back:

No more flip flops! If I was going to be staying around this area, I've often wanted to get some students together to go down and clean it up.
