I lent my Elk Ridge ER-271OC to a hardened fishing mate to try on a fishing trip last week after I knocked up my first ever kydex sheath for it.
After a days fishing offshore for the new season Snapper run he had a really good catch in rough seas, setting about cleaning the fish, over 100lbs in all, some over 12lbs each. My mate said that he really liked the knife, said it would go through 10lb-plus Snapper backbones with great ease and ran over the spine really well to produce some very clean large fillets.
