Pictures of people actually using their hawks for things!

IA Woodsman,

If I rigged a hawk to cut through the ice like that, I'd run a loop of cord through the eye.

Tie it off to the stick.

Just for luck.
Yep I'd dummy cord anything working over water. Great pics and uses by the way.

Here's a pic of mine posing with Jack on a hike-It was used on that trip. No action pics sorry.

No pic but I tied my RMJ Shrike to a long stick to use as an extended arm to pull some fishing line an hooks out of some tree branches. From there my son and I rigged up some fishing poles and caught some fish. Kinda fun going in with nothing and making due.

Here's a few I posted already.

Can't believe I didn't take pics, but I used my trail hawk to break up an old broken flatscreen into peices that would fit in a trashcan. Ended up chopping the metal frame apart in a few places where screws were stuck.

Hey eric, how do you feel about working with the swamp rat KDSH? especially with the spike at the end of the handle, I'm just curious if it's unhandy at work.

One of my dogs got bit by a copperhead last night on a hike.

Note enlarged paw.

After carrying dog home I googled dog care for snakebite and the overwhelming responses were Benadryl.
Dog was laying around all day and now is already walking around.
The snake is not.

Hey sorry I missed your question, Shirk. I LOVE the Kill Devil. It isn't unwieldy at all. It's balanced really well. My only (minor) complaint is the wrapped version vs. the micarta version. The paracord wrap doesn't quite fill the hand completely like the micarta slabs do. After extensive use I find myself checking my grip more frequently than I otherwise would. Hope that helps.

Dang. Poor pooch. Scary stuff, right there. Glad (s)he is doin' ok.
