Well damn. I suddenly feel somewhat inadequate with my corn snake. The most exotic critter I have is a gecko that no one can seem to identify.
 
after digging this post out of the mud of page 13, I decided to give a decent photo of myself. this is a pic from one of the highschool band comp's we hosted!

That would be AFROTC or AFJROTC depending on whether he is in highschool or college (Air Force or Air Force Junior ROTC) My guess would be J.

and by the way Major Wyatt, you have a superior officer on deck. Back in those days I was Lt.Colonel Fletcher

My guess is taking a sample for some sort of research. Also, that coastline doesn't look U.S. domestic.
