Pictures of the Busse Basic line.

Mike can you comment on how the heft and balance of the largest Basic compared to the Battle Mistress?

Any chance of an update on when these things are expected to hit the stores?

-Cliff

The sheaths are a multiple position kydex rig. The Basic #9 has a really similar feel to the BM. The difference is in the handle and not the blade. They should be hitting stores within a few weeks.

Is the modified-INFI in the Basics significantly better than the A2 used in the regular models a few years ago? For that matter what kind of performance jump was seen from A2 to the regular INFI?

-Cliff

The difference between A2 and INFI is like night and day. Anyone can argue that with me but the tests already done and those about to be done will speak for themselves.

The handle is Resiprene C. Some really fancy name for some kick ass rubber. This is not just rubber folks it has been tested in hell and came through with flying colors.

Mike, how much of a difference are you talking about? Are the testing results available to the public?

-Cliff

What Busse told me about these grips is that they have the secure feel of the Kraton but do not attract dirt and such easily and are much more durable. But I have not heard of any tests on these knives yet.

Burke, Discount knives has them. Retail is $258 and he is list his selling price as approx. 25% off of retail. That sure puts out some stiff competetion for Mission and other production dealers.

Mike, has Busse released the charpy value, yeild strength, tensile strength, abrasion resistance and such of INFI yet?

-Cliff

Cliff, I was wondering the same thing. I recently received an INFI Steel Heart, made with regular INFI, and the Basics are supposed to be a "modified" INFI, and I'm wondering how much difference there is between the standard and modified INFI. From only light usage so far, I really like my Steel Heart, but haven't had a chance to really see how it performs under real use.
