Ok i'm getting very close to getting this thing up and running so i thought i would post some pictures so every one can oh and ah at them. but really i just thought people might like to see how it all goes together. i am working this out as i go so this thread is going to be as i put it together and test it.

so lets see what i have got going on, I should be getting my custom made thermocouple tomorrow, which I'm excited to get. also i already got my Pid controller which i have played around with a bunch so far. I have my ssr and have got it mounted to its heat sink. but what I'm relay happy about is that i got my gas 2 stage bypass built today. I should work great. i have it set up with a quick disconnect for the in and the out so i can just disconnect it and put it away. here are some pictures of it. i think it turned out quite nicley. i will strap it down to a strip of plywood along with the pid and the ssr and the 2 fan controls so i can just move it from place to place. it does not have a main ball valve shutoff yet but i will add one later. so here are this pictures.

Its funny because as i am posting this i noticed from looking at the pictures that i could improve it by rotating the last t. so here is the updated version. look like it will give me a straight shot of propane on high burn.

O well its all about refining the process so it looks like i have an extra 1/4" street 90

I will post other pictures of my other parts and keep you all updated on its progress. it should onley be a day or 2 more till its redy to fire up. :D

Thanks, it should work great i think. but what i cant understand is why no one caries needle valves in standard pipe thread. all i ever can find is them with compression fittings.

I got mine at MSC in 1/4" NPT. That was when I first built my setup for propane. I've since converted to natural gas and had to swap out my needle valves with 1/4" ball valves to handle the lower pressure and higher flow that NG needs.

Ya NG would need a larger vavle as the presure is what like half a pound or less
