well i got my pid control unit set up. i am still missing one fan speed controller but i will find another one. but the first picture is of it just running and the next is on a medium high burn because i wanted to see how hot it would get.
I just set the pid to 2500 as i did not have the other fan controller installed and i did not want any back flash. but i did do a quick test at it holding 1700 deg and it held it to like + or - like 2 deg  wow baby now i have no excuse for over heating my blades and it was the same temp through the whole inside of the forge, not a hot spot except right where the flame hit the wall but that's just a small spot. so do you think i can hit welding temps with this puppy ;). in the last picture i had to turn it off as it kept getting hotter with no sign of stopping and i was worried about doing damage to my thermocouple.

Man I think you can hit smelting temps with it! Great looking setup!

looks like a magnesium fire  :D Looks great, it looks good for forging higher alloy steels like D2.

JT, You are going to love that two-stage controller. If you need another fan controller, I'll send you one .(they are on ebay, too)
