PID controller

Most of the initial things are at the default settings.
The firing programming is made easier by making a basic blank chart/list and making a bunch of copies. Mark each chart with the steel type, any notes on the knives, and any testing results from knives done with that setting. Then fill out the setting steps with the desired numbers.
Keep these in a folder near the oven. I still pull mine out most times I set the controller.

Each controller has its own code letters for programing, but things like ldLE, Err,USr1,SEG, rAl, Hld,°F, etc are sort of standard.
The chart should look something like :

Power ON - Error > press any key > Idle - ENTER
User program number > (1,2,3,4) - ENTER
Segments > (1,2,3,4,5,6) - ENTER
Ramp rate > 9999 - ENTER
Temperature > 1200 - ENTER
Hold > 15.00 - ENTER
ramp >hold>temp> etc
( repeat steps for each segment)
END - ENTER
RUN - ENTER

I've spent about 4 hours reading and pondering over the last couple of days and I'm almost there. google 'auber programming', a couple of flow charts have been posted and they have helped me figure things out.
