Pierre Reverdy - Holland & Holland Knife

Since a Royal Grade Double from Holland & Holland is over a 100 grand That H & H knife is a deal:D

Spectacular work

I'm pretty sure there were a few of H&H knives made. I think under 10, maybe 7. The article in Blade showed different views of the knife. The knife was engraved "Holland & Holland" on the top guard. The damascus and handle material (walnut burl?) were designed to resemble H&H's fine line of firearms. I think Pierre nailed it.

It's a beautiful knife that would surely compliment any Holland & Holland rifle collection.

I would be very interested in that article in Blade. Would you mind scanning it ?

Patrick,

Unfortunately, I no longer have the magazine. Perhaps you could contact Pierre through his website that was posted in this thread. Maybe he can email you a copy? :)

That was my thought as well. $20K is no big deal to the average H&H customer. English Lords, captains of industry etc. $20,000 is pocket change to those guys.

Pierre is a friend of mine. I already sent him a message and let him know we were talking about his knives.

That may be true, however I have been told on multiple occasions by makers who attended the ABS Expos in Reno which always coincided with the Safari Club International and Gun Engravers conventions that many of those who routinely pay enormous amounts for guns have very tight purse strings when it comes to knives.

Though there's a handful of knifemakers who still set-up in Reno in the end of January, I don't believe the ABS would have moved to San Antonio if there was a substantial number of gun collectors purchasing custom knives each year.

pattern welded steel aside, this is a very attractive design.

It certainly is and anyone who owns an H&H rifle or shotgun can definitely afford a knife like this if they want it.
