just wanted to say "two thumbs" up to piet and his band of scouts in the netherlands...i ordered two firesteels from them and i received them in about 10 days after he shipped them....i now have to send him money AFTER receiving them....the firesteels are swedish military issue and are extremely high quality in both matierials and wormanship...they also work very well!....if he has any of these left you should help support his scout troop and you will be getting a great bargain on a quality piece of survival equipment in the meantime (10 bucks each including shipping)...just search the other than knives for sale forum....thanks....feverdoc

Just got mine todau and they are A1 Prime stuff...

Blows my other one by the same company out of the water...

At $10 a pop they are Well worth every penny...
One of these will last you many years if taken care of properly..

BTW..

For all you guys with FireSteels,, once and awhile give them a good coating of shelac or nail polish to protect the exposed metal.. It will start to break down if not taken care of properly...

I love my Firesteel as well. Bagheera is a stand-up guy and I hope that everyone who wants a Firesteel or a Traser Glowring orders one from Bagheera and helps out his scouting group.

Plus, how many other people have included a letter with their trade thanking you for your "business" and including a website that shows you how to use the product.

I stumbled upon this post because Sgtmike8811 emailed me that he hadn't received his Firesteel yet while others wrote they had.

I'm not used to reading about myself and these kind words are really making an impression on me.

I can just say that at age 44 I was brought up by parents who have been through the war and clearly remember my parents say "do not onto others that you don't like done onto yourself" and "Your word is your life" I hope I have translated it correctly.

These are simple words and easy to live by and my personal feeling is that in these times we live in we can use more of these simple down to earth sayings and people living according to them.

For me what I did with the Firesteels and the Glowrings is just normal and nothing special.
And up to this moment everybody who I (we) sent the Firesteels and Glowrings to have kept their word.

Guys, in reaction to your "praise" of my (our) way of dealing I (we) have to return the compliment and thank you great bunch of BF members for the way you keep your end of the bargain and especially for the nice words included in the return letters, a big THANKS also in name of our scouting club

Cannot agree more about Bagheera's character. I have bought other items in the past from him and it is a pleasure to do business with him. I received my firesteels, sent payment airmail as you desired. Sent you an e-mail when I received them, did not hear anything and now beginning to wonder whether you got the original e-mail. Please let me know when you receive the funds.

According to my info you send out the money to us for the firesteels January 31.
That's only 8 days ago and I'd expect it to arrive tomorrow (well today as it actually is Friday 00:20h now) or Saturday.

Sarge, I always try to email a "THANKS WE RECEIVED YOUR ENVELOPE" the day I (we) receive it.

Nothing to worry about just be patient a day or two.
