Gentlemen,
It seems my Pig Sticker design has got many adepts, and considering that I have another 3 to make, I thought about posting a thread to see if anyone else would be interested.
Here are some pictures:
In san mai damascus
9 1/2" San Mai damascus (damascus bar from Ariel Salaverria - 1010 and 1070 with a 52100 core) blade - 14 1/2" Overall length. File work on the spine. Fileworked guard in mokume (steel, iron and bronze). Sheep horn handle slabs with SS/bronze pins.
Lanyard in braided leather with sterling silver caps and ebony adjuster. Hand made leather sheath with a sterling silver horse detail circled in nickel silver.
With a Semi Skinner:
4" blade in hand rubbed N678 (stainless steel similar to AUS8) 8 1/4" Overall lenght.
Guard in laminated nickel silver and bronze. Handle slabs are sheep. Full tang with home made decorated pins. Handstitched leather sheath with a flower leather detail. (The lanyard is the one on the sheath pictures, and the fittings are sterling silver)
In Carbon Steel
9" 5160 hand rubbed blade - 13 3/4" Overall length. Decorated and worked double guard in 304 stainless steel. Red deer stag handle slabs with SS/bronze pins. Hand made and decorated leather sheath and leather lanyard.
ETA is about 2 months for the first one ordered and will go up in 10 days / 2 weeks per each other knife ordered.
I don't have any more sheeple horn, but I do have deer stag and many woods. Just lemme know what you'd like.
Prices range from $435 (shipped) for a regular carbon steel one with SS, bronze or nickel silver guard to $655 in san mai damascus with mokume guard. Again, if you're interested, lemme know what you'd like and I'll give you a definitive quote
Price for the Semi Skinner range from $290 (shipped) for a regular carbon steel one with SS, bronze or nickel silver guard to $380 in san mai damascus with mokume guard. (If buying two knives you can deduct $55 from the total price as shipping costs the same)
