Pikal Parer in S30V and Orange G-10.....multi-carry options

S30V will hold its edge longer, CPM154 will be easier to sharpen. Both are high-quality stainless steels that are tough and will not chip out.

Yeah, I just don't plan to do much cutting with it. Lower maintenance and higher toughness would be good. I'm not sure which one has it, probably very close.

That is really a great design. I practice pikal as a primary knife usage, and that design is slick. Nice and concealable, plus it just looks like a little utility knife. Would it be possible to do one in a little thicker steel and longer blade? If you want to really perfect it for pikal, try raising the point slightly towards centerline. A slight downward curve is great, but a tad less hook on that blade would make it near ideal for pikal.

woohoo, tasered and peppered sprayed, what a week. Anywho, I don't think it makes a huge difference, if you can just finish off the S30V blade, that would be cool with me. No need to cut another stubby just cause I'm indecisive :D

Here we go!

First an overall pic of the knife and kydex sheath

Blade = 0.090" thick S30V, flat grind, 2.5" blade

Handle = Orange G10 (texturized) with black liners, 3 lanyard tubes, 4.5" long

Dan...... I just picked this little "bad boy" up, [thank's Snow ... :thumbup: ... ;) ...] .... I love it. :thumbup: :thumbup:

How did you "texturize" the G10 scales ? Or, do they come that way ?

I really like it...... however it is done............ :thumbup:

I bead-blasted the crap out of it...:D :eek: :p

Thanks...I have yet to be disappointed with the outcome of any of these pikal parers....I really need to do an official run of them. I could easily get them to go under $100...and that's with a nice high-carbon stainless steel !!
