I'm excited to say that this is my first Pikal! It was a tough one and came out great.

I have been using lots of 52100 steel lately, while it is tough as can be 52100 is also known for the very fine grain and edge holding it can have. My heat treat regimen with this steel features a triple normalizing cycle to reduce the grain as much as possible. A finer grain structure can get sharper, is easier to sharpen and less likely to chip. 52100 really excels for this purpose ultimately making a great all around knife.

Really like this Daniel. Looks like a mean slicer! If I had spotted this earlier I would have taken it off of your hands. Good score jlubas!

Don't give up on this design, you did an awesome job with this one. If you make another I'm going to try and grab it
