You are a wise man!

There are better ways to cut food on a plate than grinding the edge against the plate, but I wouldn't call it abuse.

I think it is fantastic to see such a great knife being used. I think it is far better to see it used than kept in a safe.

Darrell's knives are not just expensive because they look great, but also because they are well-made, durable, and good at doing what knives are supposed to do.

Knives can be cleaned, and sharpened. And they should have to be.

Many rich people buy expensive cars, watches, clothing etc... without being educated enough in those areas to really be able to appriaciate them. They buy Ferraris and flog the hell out of them without understanding what makes them special. They just know that it is a status symbol and they want one.

But knives are not quite the same. Rich people do not buy DDRs just because they want to be a "big dawg" and fit in with all of their friends. Knives are more esoteric.

Someone can buy a Ferrari based on the name and status alone- they do not need good taste. But buying a DDR shows Joe Perry does have some good taste and education in knives. It would be akin to someone buying a lesser known car because they know cars and it is what they want (rather than just getting the default car of the moment). With knives, they are all esoteric.

While his technique was not great, seeing Joe use a fine knife to do what it is supposed to do is something we should applaud, not insult.

However, the way he talked about the "instructions" and it being "spring loaded" did show that he isn't exactly an expert knife knut. But hey, we all have things to learn.

I LOVE DDR's knives!! That one belongs to Joe Perry, and he is entitled to do with as he wishes.

Lol I dont see the problem I use the crap outa my GH and I love to do it.....so I see no probs here.
