Pimp my AK47

Took a bit longer than I hoped, but here are the pics of the finished AK. Everything glass bead blasted, Claro walnut handles sanded and polished, made a sheath too, with kydex inlays back and front, and a detachable handle keeper.

Hope you like it.

Turned out excellent!!!
If you don't mind my asking, is that legal to own there? When I spent time in Friesland, most of the local people freaked out that I carried just a small pocketknife (Spyderco Delica at the time).

That is a very nice looking sword you've got there. Beautiful handle material.

2 years??? heh. wow. I wouldn't have that kind of patience to wait for someone just to replace the scales and strip the coating.

Though.... with the coating removed, are those really the final pics, cause I can see sort of banding... like it doesn't seem even. Please tell me it's just the lighting or something.

Legal to own, yes. Legal to carry, no!

It was only the picture that took 2 years! I received the modified sword in november 2011!

Kind regards,

Jos

Oh okay cool. That's good then. I know I take far too long to photograph mine too. But you didn't answer the most important question, was that just a weird lighting/photograph artifact or is the blade really lighter in spots (like near the choil/handle), and darker in others... it's like got these weird vertical patches that show up in multiple photographs.

I don't mean to bash or anything but I can't help but notice it and it bugs me.

How was the coating removed and what's a "Nuclear Meltdown treatment"?
