I'm not gonna lie Chris, I got that feeling in my gooch akin to when you're at the edge of a great height looking down or totally inverted and weightless on a rollercoaster: when I sent it off. Even though I trust Tim. But man, upon getting it back: No worries, my suspicions were confirmed: Timateo's the mang! :D

I like the rounded spine.

Makes me think about doing Silly things with a So Called one of Six one of Three Hundred(How's That for a Title of a knife? )

People forget that every one of these knives is different and feels and handles differently.

I would not trade the one that I might consider to modify, Rather I might take a knife that I know how the grip feels and modify the blade some what to make the knife even more useable.

I would likely then make you all crazy a bit by re-coating, or even Kryloning the blade, because I like it coated, just want it round on the spine.

Just thinking about it.

This one simply feels.....right. I've got a SHBM where I just LOVE the grind...it's downright wafer thin and has a tall blade....but the handles are slippery (smooth)....then I HAD a SHBM that had the BEST handles, but it was ground like a sharpened pry bar. I've had everything in a SHBM from a club, to one that was light and nimble enough to be a great fighter surprisingly enough but this one has the best balance between heft, grind, and handle. Some SHBM's have pinkie pinch but you can't tell until you use them unfortunately....this one doesn't even come close.

Just playing around, I took some speaker padding (a very thin strip of rubbery foam for laying around where you're going to mount a speaker in a car door) and wound a spiral down the handle just far enough apart for your fingers to rest in between and then wrapped the handle with tennis tacky gause. It's far out man....feels like sex in your hand!
 
While I do still have the first SHBM that I got after waiting 10+ months for the order to arrive, For the first year or so I prefered my First SHSH as my big chopper.

Then While Trying to fill an order for 8 SHBMs(after they were out of production) I recieved a one of three hundred user that I ended up using as part of a test to see how various Busse Choppers compared to each other(Got to love it when people send you knives to compare and pay you to play)

After that test, that One of three hundred became my new Favorite chopper and has remained so for the last six or seven years.

But I am always on the look out for my next Favorite, just has not showed up, while I had great hopes for the AK and the FBM and the FSH, the old knife still rules for me.

That is the Knife that I am thinking about Rounding the top on.
