Good stuff PD.

One quick thought for you. All that OD green and camo will make it harder to find. Kinda like a ninja axe.

I actually staple a small bit of red plastic tape (like a flag) to the bottom of my axe to make it easier to see. It can happen quite easily. Gets stuck in a tree (by someone that barrows it with out asking:grumpy:), and I've looked for an hour or more to find mine.

Ohhh yea...... it needs 22" spinner to be truly pimped. :)

No one will borrow it now cos I'll say " what axe, I don't see no axe !!! ":D

Looks good.
I need to do something like that with mine. Most of the orange paint is gone. Verry little of the gray paint that I put on the blade to prevent rust is left. There's a couple scuffs from over strikes. :o oops.

Its down right ugly to be honest. Not nearly as woodsy as yours.

tarmix brings up a good point I make sure all my tools are brightly colored or at least have brigthly colored tags or lanyards...everytime I go camping someone inevitably puts a knife or some other edged tool down and can't remember where it was again...this is obviously a pita but is also very dangerous... blaze orange doesn't look very good but it looks alot better than a missing tool, or a bunch of stitches imo.

Pitdog, doesn't that cord wrapped handle rub blisters on your hand, or do you wear gloves way up there?
