Pimped soddies

Thought ya'll might like to see some soddies i reworked.Ironwood,burlap,and linen micarta.

All three are excellent. I really like the burlap one though. Just seems to fit this style of knife.

It goes all the way through.Works fine so far and i couldnt resist the look.All 3 snap like bear traps.Thanks! They are fun to mess with and are pretty cheap for a quality knife.

Question: do sodbusters typically have a liner-lock or no? Or does it sort of vary from company to company. I don't think I've noticed any custom sodbusters with a liner-lock, these don't have liner-locks, but at least two other brands I have a sodbuster from do.

I would say typically no liner lock.But some do and some are lockback.To me the traditional Sodbuster is slip joint.

Those are great. Big changes for such a simple knife... I really like Ironwood, on anything.

In my eyes (which aren't what they use to be ), the Ironwood on the soddie, with the picture on the blade, makes the knife look like it may have been made many years ago. Thats a good thing.

Thanks. I'd have never thought of that. I can't see why it wouldn't work now that you've done it. They can't be much softer than solid brass or NS used on factory knives.
