Just took the time to really admire it, and you really did do a good job Got any bigger pictures? I'm thinking of doing this to my Leek since it's already messed up all around... if it wont void warranty (then again, I have some cheap knives laying around too...).
I started out on a Victorinox Alpineer. The August 2006 Blade mag had an article that showed how simple it was. So I tried it.
The diamond files at Harbor Freight work fairly well, but the triangle one is bald on the corners with just this one knife.
It would be better to get a round and triangle GOOD file. I have a set ...somewhere....but haven't seen for years.
I think this will be my last as it really hurts the index finger on an arthritic ole coot. Still numb this morning. A set of GOOD files would eliminate that I think.
These were the 3 I previously did. You can see on the first Delica that in one place I filed past the CENTER of the blade. A no-no. It was a close save on that one.
Those are in the order I did em. Alpineer, Delica, Fallkniven U-2.
