Hey Y'all,
I just wanted to comment on this little carabiner knife that I got that is one of the ones that J Wharton Stag and Steel has been selling in the Knifemakers for Sale area.
I usually don't leave feedback but this is just such a great little blade for the price that I had to give him a few good words.
The finish on this knife is awesome. The polishing, the contours of the handle, the overall design seems like he measured my hand and then built a knife for me:thumbup:
I am not a big fan of stainless. Also this knife is supposed to be hardened to 60, but apparently the tempering is really great because it sharpens up great! Also a lot of times when people do a hollow grind, in my opininon they leave the edge too thick. Not so here the hollow grind comes down to a super fine edge.
Normally with a custom I see something I'd have done differently or some cosmetic flaw. Not so with this knife. The only minor imperfection is it was shaving, but not hair popping sharp, and that the relative sharpness varied along the edge some. However a few light passes on a fine diamond stone and it is literally razor sharp from tip to hilt.
This is one of the nicest customs I have got and no BS as far as payment or shipping. Nice knife nice guy!!!
