Pin/ Lanyard Tube Placement

I have been working on a design/commission for a guy in New Zealand and I'm having trouble figuring out the placement of the pins and the front profile of the handle scales. I am using 1/4" mosaic pins and a 1/4" stainless lanyard tube. The steel is 1/8" 1080 and the handle scales will be figured Hawaiian Mango Dyed and stabilized green from Burl source.

I'm not 100% sure about the pin placement and I have no idea what to do with the Lanyard tube. I'm not sure if it would be best to have the tube at the bottom of the handle or the top. I usually put it at the bottom but I see a lot of makers doing it both ways. What are your opinions on this? Also shown in the image are two contours for the front edge of the scales. One terminates just forward of the ridge between the two choils, the other terminates just behind it. I don't know which would be most comfortable  I do feel like the front choil needs to be a bit deeper and wider so that is something I do need to change.

And just for giggles and grins, here are some images of the handle materials I'm using.

Thanks in advance for your opinions/ comments, I appreciate any help you can give :)

I vote for the tube at the top and move the rear pin back. I would change the front of the scales also. Leave them rounded but even it up so it matches the plunge.

When you say match the front up with the plunge, do you mean have a radius the front but have the radius more or less parallel with the plunge? In other words, just a semi-circle at the front of the scales?

Alright, I like the pin and tube placement a lot! Just not quite sure how I feel about that particular shape for the front of the scales being applied to this nkife. I'll have to think about it :)

I was just showing the pins and tube and not the front go the scales. One of the main things that will take away from a knife is if the scales don't match the plunge. Get a piece of paper and draw it a bunch of different ways and see what looks right.
