PINACLE or AXIS ?

I am going out to buy a new knife... as always... and have narrowed the selection between these two choices. One is the closest to a Sebenza as I will ever get... the other is just freakin cool.

I can only get ONE guys... JUST ONE...

Guess I will have to say go with the Pinnacle 750SBT. I use it all day everyday and its great, but I have also used the Axis as well. Pinnacle because it is much easier to clean on a daily basis and is a good amount lighter than the Axis.

Besure to handle both yourself though, you may be overwhelmed with "Axis Love" as many other forum members

before I came into work today I stopped and looked at each.

I may be in Axis love... but I still like the simplicity of the Pinnacle...

This is harder than I thought...

I bought the Axis first because it seemed more unique.Now I have a Pinncle and it is also a cool knife.Maybe you could draw straws :^)

This weekend I got a new knife.
After carefull consideration, and reviewing the general comments from here...

<drum roll>

I got a MILITARY.

Spyderco is my favorite... And I realized I love my AFCK, because of the Spyerco features. I am very contented with my selection, and saved 20 bucks as well. I dont see the advantage the Axis Lock device would give me and that wussy spring doesnt give me confidence. The Military is more ME.

I, too, am lucky enough to have both. If I had to pick, it'd be Axis. Why? The safety of the AxisLock. It's the first folder I've truly felt my fingers were reasonably safe with. The Pinnacle is definitely safe, but if you put a twisting motion on it in the wrong direction, look out.
 
I have / had both, and the Axis is the clear choice to me. BTW, my Axis is lighter than the 750 Pinnacle I had. huh... -AR

P.S. Don't forget the "alien-like" properties of the Ti. handle on the Pinnacle. It's just weird. Their was a thread on BM's forum about this. Check it out. -AR

For you axis fans ... I spent about 45 minutes cutting big cardboard boxes -- some of 'em VERY thick cardboard -- until 3'x3' pieces. I torqued, I tweaked, I leaned hard into many cuts, no problems with the lock. But what's more amazing is, after doing 45 minutes of hard cutting, I don't have so much as a warm-spot on my hand anywhere, much less any soreness or pre-blisters. The handle on the Axis is just incredible for comfort, nothing beats it!

p.s. - After you have had a chance to really make it perform let us know how you like it compared to the AFCK, thats a comparison I have not seen posted yet.
