Pinch me, I'm dreaming. Just bought a digicam Para 2 at the local pawn shop.

And I am in shock. I looked in the knife case and the Para 2 just stared right back. I never, ever thought I would own a Para 2. I really almost don't believe it now. The clerk is a friend of mine and he said: "Buy it!" I said how much and he quoted me an unbelievably good price. I am still in shock. The knife looks almost completely untouched. It has been sharpened but the previous owner made it look like a factory edge. Wow just wow. Praise the lord! All God's critters have knives!

Hell of a deal man! Congrats. Someone just said in another thread that this Para shortage is supposed to be over this summer. I'll have to wait till then to get me a Para under $150. You should post pics man!

That's incredible. Great find!
what other knife magic does your pawn shop case contain?

Most of the time the most expensive knife is the odd Kershaw (been a long time at that). Their other store had a ZT 550 for $90 bucks a few months ago but it felt like a folding brick. Right now they have: a manual Microtech Lightfoot $399, Used Benchmade 940 $139, and a Benchmade Nimravus approx. $180, and an Emerson chisel ground something. These are the nicest knives I have ever seen in this store. I am thinking somebody died and their kids sold the collection. I don't know what is causing this boon but I am enjoying seeing all the great knives.

Where do you live?
Why do you want to know?...

Not sure I would consider $100 to be an incredible price. Maybe the short supply has driven up cost but that was the going rate for these knives. I paid that for both my S30V models, $130 for the DLC version and then I paid out the nose for my 20CP but it was long after it went disco.

I'd say that a good price for a brand new Para 2 would be around $110-120. But given that the supply is so low and demand is so high, $100 is a great price for a Para 2 in good condition.

For a friend of yours you would think he would have given you a better deal than that, Especially that it was in a pawn shop. He probably paid only about $20.00 for it.

I don't think that the price I paid is incredible compared to regular price. I think it is a great price considering a digicam Para 2 sold on the exchange last month for $165. The one from the exchange was probably LNIB, though.

I am seriously stoked about the knife though! I can really see why this knife is so sought after. I must admit, that it is a very, very nice knife. Have not yet decided if I am going to go tip up or leave it tip down.

Whoa where's this backlash coming from?
It's a used knife from a pawnshop. $100 isn't much lower than retail.
Sounds like I hit some nerves
