Pink and Orange RC's

Here is a pink RC-3 I did today as well as a orange Izula.

I got to let them dry a little more and then I will reassemble the RC-3.

did you paint them or did you recoat after stripping them? that izula is looking pretty slick.

I media blasted all the orignal coating off with 120 grit alum oxide. Blew it off with shop air and then Duracoated it with the color pink lady and cav arms orange.

Do you bake this on and how does this wear - equivalent to the commercial Izula coating?

This example was done with Duracoat. I have not tested it yet. I do have a few that I am letting cure and when that process is done I am going to beat the hell out of them and post the results.

OK. I think this would be great to have the feedback on so folks could do this to clean up their knives. Of course, many folks like the look of a well used tool....

Certainly two distinct groups......if I buy a knife and wind up not really using it, it is off to be sold. I don't buy knifes to collect. Not for me.

What would be a "ball park" price for something RC 3 size??

i have some gun kote comming as well so i do a side by side of the two.

I'd like to see an Izula done in bright green with black paracord wrap.
