I'm thinking of using an arbor press to drive my bolster pins, but instead of peining the pins, would the pressure from the arbor press expand the pin ends in a controllable manner? Has anyone tried this?
Also, should I use a shallow counter sink for the pins to expand into, or would a steep burr cut be stronger?
Feel free to direct me to your favorite thread on bolster construction, btw. Thanks.
