Pioneer Blades-Interchangeable?

Hey Bob,

I have 2 Pioneer 1 models.One Tanto and one Swept Point.
Can these blades interchange?

There should be no problem there unless one is a waterjet cut blade.

Hi!
I also have two 2 pionieer mod 1. One tanto one drop point. As far as I examined them i noticed that the blades are holded in the closed position in different ways. One has the small ball that holds the blade and the other one closes with the roling lock bolt.

Which one is the earlier version? And why the change? which mechanism is used in the carnivoure?

Go to the head of the class very observant. The first folders used a ball detent for holding the blade closed ala the liner lock .The second generation used the Rolling Lock everything now uses the Rolling Lock including the Carnivore
