Hello all, newbie here, so sorry if this has been covered before. Last weekend I found myself sitting by a fire a on remote cliff above Lake Superior wishing a) that I had a decent light weight wood splitting implement, and b) that I had remembered to pack my pipe. A tomahawk pipe seems to fit the bill perfect, but many that I've found seem primarily decorative. Can anyone point me in the direction of a tool that would be both functional as a wood cutting/utility tool and offer a decent smoke? Thanks!

The reason that most pipe hawks are primarily decorative is that drilling a hole through the handle of a hawk (especially wood), will greatly weaken the haft and could end up with a broken handle.

If I were to trust any hawk for smoking and working, I would say something by Vector would probably be best. Synthetic handles, some of which he builds a blow-gun into.
