For sale is this unique and very cool cleaver by Chad Pirtle with custom leather slip sheath.

The sheath is two tone leather, rigid yet supple and very well made, by Chad.

The cleaver is.. 5160 steel I believe. It is forged and is 5/16in thick, just over .3in. Tip to brass fitting is 6 3/4in long. OAL this piece is just over 13 1/2in. Yes, that makes the handle a nice long ~6 3/4in.

The handle is, as stated above, with brass fitting and black palm scales, copper pins, and is pretty seamless as far as the scale seams on top/bottom/butt go.

I think I recall he said he blued the blade. The flats are forge finish.

Quite a design once in hand, as the black palm come up through the brass fittings to show that "dot" pattern very well, same for the pommel/butt.
