Piston, Knockout and Echelon are coming soon!

Just got my 4th or 5th e-mail from site I pre-ordered from saying these models still aren't in stock. Booo.

Although, while browsing other websites that have these pre-orders available, I noticed an 8/1/11 estimated date of arrival. Which is next week. Yay?

I remain hopeful...

I have not received a notice they are in stock ether but GP knives have changed the statues at for the Knockout at least from preorder to out of stock. That almost makes me think they had some and sold them all before I could order one.

Nobody has received any of these new knives - and Thomas has hinted at a 4th quarter release date for all of these.

I wouldnt mind one of those fine looking knockouts for myself.
Man, Kershaw has been on a roll with the great designs recently.
If they keep it up, Ill be working 8 hours a day eating nothing but ramen just so i can afford all the great knives.

The Knockout and Echelon are on the list for me. I think the Knockout reminds me of the Rake, but with a less 'sharp' curve to it. The Echelon would be nice if I wanted to carry a smaller knife. Silly coming from someone looking forward to a ZT0200 next week. :D

Man, I freaking hate this! Back in june, when someone mentioned the 8/1 release date for the Echelon, Thomas posted that they would be out more like 7/1, so I was super excited that I'd get to have one by my birthday! No dice. July came & went & now August is almost gone! Wtf? 4th quarter?! Hell no! Makes me not even want to buy one now. Way to drop the ball, Kershaw.

Please stop. No ball has been dropped.

Manufacturing is a tough business. The scheduling of products, specifically new products can be challenging. We have hopes when we announce release dates, but life has a way of changing those hopes and plans.

I've learned now not to post any potential release dates here on the forums.

Sorry we ruined your birthday. We're working as hard and smart as we can.

I work in Manufacturing also. I know all about setbacks. Bummer yes, end of the world no. Please just keep us in the loop.

All I can say is that I hope the delay isn't because they've decided to add thumb studs to the Piston (as is shown in the composite pic). No thumbstuds!

The good thing about a 4th quarter release is I might be able to justify the purchase to the wife as a Christmas present.

I sure would like to have my Knockout that seems to be on intergalactic pre-order. LOL!! :D

Oh well, they'll get here when they get here.

Damn, that post reads a lot harsher than I meant it to. No disrespect meant to you at all, Thomas(or Kershaw). From my experience on BF, you seem to be a great guy who works hard for your customers, & the fact that you post so much great stuff on here(prototype pics, etc.) is amazing. I want to apologize for the unecessary attack. You certainly did not ruin my birthday, it was ruined because I had to put my dog that I had for 14 years to sleep the other day & then lost my wallet with about $400 in cash in it as well, so I was in a horrible mood & had been drinking when I posted that. Still, that's no excuse. I will definitely be buying all 3 of these knives when they come out, & I will also order them directly from you, Thomas. Again, I'm really sorry for lashing out, it was stupid & juvenile & I don't know why I decided to vent my frustration & pain in that way & at you. Won't happen again.

As Thomas said, there is no ETA on these at this time. The best update we can give is that we have cut some steel parts for these knives, and we're working hard to get the fixtures done to make the handles.

We are working hard to get these out as soon as possible. Your patience is always appreciated.

Osodavis - sounds like a rough time for you - I hope things get better soon. My condolences for the loss of your dog and wallet - having two very sad/stressful occurences so close together is never fun.
