Pith Problem

Hey Guys,

I made up a Crown stag handled knife and I'm into the Pith at the guard. Right now it's a shadow but I really need to do some more contouring to get the right shape and that will reveal more of the Pith. Any ideas or ways to fill the Pith?

A good epoxy, polyester casting resin, or super glue.
I don't think you will like the results from any of them, though.

How about putting a plug of wood in there such as walnut and then finishing it?
