Tried a bunch of different bike lubes. T9 and white lightning tended to build up a lot while the wetter oils tend to pick up lint and grit. Prolink has worked fairly well on some slippies, but I never really carry those so I can't comment extensively. By far, my favorite has been Militec-1. Been using it on my EDC D4 for about 2 years now- I think had to reapply it once maybe twice just for fun. On the rare occation I little grit finds its way into the pivot a little bit of compressed air (or just working the action a little) clears it up.
Summary: T9, White Lightning, etc tend to build up a notable residue. Oils (like TriFlow) will pick up grit and are easy to over apply. Militec-1 has worked fantastic!
