Pix of good guys at work in Stan -- from Sarge.

Thank you Sarge, I appreciate the fact that with all the things you have to do and to think of, you still remember me:) That would be great! One of my friends from the paramedic group has a website dedicated to the Polish spec ops group GROM and I am supposed to help him with an English language version (with my poor language skills the result won't be pretty:D). Since most informations concerning the activity of our troops in Afghanistan are classified, he would be more than happy to receive some information from the field. Be well!

The US Forces teaching the local kids to play Baseball? It was just on the news here in the Merry Land of OZ... Yes, literally, I just saw it on TV.....

Hibuke, I'm just an old knucklehead, but I appreciate your complement and I am humbled by it.

My unit is the 712th Air Support Operations Squadron. It's one of several units in the USAF who's whole mission in life is to provide close air support to our, and our allies', ground forces. While I served 8 1/2 months in DESERT SHIELD/DESERT STORM, I wasn't part of this unit at that time, but I understand they pulled their weight in that one too. It's a good unit, and I'm proud to be in it. Thanks for asking.

Hence the A-10 Warthogs? :D:D:D

What's your duties then?

I did see a couple of pix of the baseball game. A little girl showed up to play and brought her own glove! Try that a couple of years ago. As far back as I can remember American GIs always got involved in "extra curricular" activities regardless of where they went. Says a lot for them.
