Just got my P'kal in the mail. Excellent fit and finish (I'm always impressed when I get a Golden-made Spydie) and a very cool little knife, but I have one question- what is the second indentation in the handle for? I'm talking about the indent that is on the sharp side of the blade when the knife is open. The spine indent is obviously meant to anchor your pinky when you're gripping the knife in its recommended reverse/edge-in manner (and works great), but I haven't found a grip that really makes the other indent useful. Maybe I'm missing something?

Incidentally, this is the first Spydie I've bought that has a ball-bearing lock and I'm totally sold on them now. It's like a closer-tolerance version of Benchmade's Axis system, and I think it's superb.

The other indent engages the web of the hand when held in forward grip edge up.

I thought it was mostly just a cutout to keep the handle clear from the thumbhole to make opening easier.
