I am not sure that there is a release date yet, but it is in the 2007 Spyderco catalog.

Yes msrp is $249.95 according to the 2007 pricelist.

I think you are probably right there "swingshot". I just had a conversation with a very good friend of mine who is a knife dealer in southern Florida. He told me that both of his distributors told him that April 15 will indeed be the release date. This guy has been right several times on the factory releases of new Spyders.

The P'Kal and Superhawk are really both going to be worth the wait.
